 ENGAGMENT OF TEACHING FACULTY ON CONTRACTUAL  BASIS FOR ESI-PGIMSR MEDICAL COLLEGE LOCATED AT JOKA, KOLKATA-104.

Employees’  State  Insurance  Corporation  which   is  a  statutory  body   constituted  under  an   Act  of Parliament   (ESI   Act,   1948)    and   works   under  the   administrative   control    of   Ministry   of   Labour   and Employment,   Government   of   India,   invites    eligible   candidates   for   walk-in    interview   for   immediate engagement of Teaching Faculty  in the  post  of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor in ESI- PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College,  Joka,  Kolkata – 700104.

DETAILS OF VACANCIES AND RESERVATION POSITION

AGE LIMIT:- Not exceeding 69 year on date of Document verification & Interview.

TERMS  OF CONTRACT:-

Total period of contract of teaching faculty will be initially  for 1 (One) year extendable on yearly basis for a total  period of 3 year, including initial 1 (One) year. This yearly extension will be subject to satisfactory performance the incumbent would serve the initial first year of contract, independent of regular faculty joining during this period. However, the contract  would be terminable on one month notice, on joining of regular faculty in the subsequent  years of contract or attaining 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.

PWD Vacancies - out of total 34 vacancies, 2 (Two) vacancies are reserved for PWD category in identified post only.

Identified Posts for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

a) One  set  of the  prescribed  application  form  enclosed  with  this  notification  must   be  printed  on  A4 size paper and  properly filled up and  submitted at  the  time  of document verification on the  day  of interview.

b) Two copies  of recent self-attested color passport size photograph.

c)  One set of self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of :-

(i)Proof of age  (Date  of Birth),

(ii)Category (SC & ST),  Category OBC, Category EWS in updated  Government of India  Format, Sub- category,

 (iii) Educational Qualifications: (Matriculation,  Higher  Secondary, Graduate, Post  Graduate, & any   other),

 (iv)  Registration  certificate  issued  by  State  Medical   Council/MCI,  (v) MCI  recognized teaching  experience  issued  by  the  Head  of  the  Institute  or  Head  of  the  Department,

(vi)  Research Publications in Indexed Journals, 

(vii) Pension Payment Order  (PPO),  in case  of retired employees from Govt.  organizations,  

(viii) NOC for  in  service  candidate  from  employer, 

 (ix) Service   bond   release certificate, if applicable, along  with Original  documents

 (x) No objection certificate from  his/her present employer, In case  of Government employee.

F. Mode of payment:

A Demand Draft  of Rs.  225/- in favour  of ‘ESI Fund Account No. I’, drawn after  date of issue  of advertisement  on  any  scheduled  bank  payable at ‘Kolkata’ has  to  be  submitted  along   with  the Application  Form.

Note: i) Fee once  paid  will not  be refunded under any  circumstances.

ii) Demand Draft  drawn from  any  Nationalized/private Bank will be  accepted. Application  Fee  paid  by any  other mode will not  be accepted.

iii) The Demand Draft  must  be issued after  the  date of issue  of this advertisement.

iv) Separate Demand Drafts  to be paid  if candidate applies for more  than one  post.

G.  Selection Procedure:

i. The  selection  will be  made on  the  basis   of  performance of  the  candidate  in  interview  before the

Selection Board.

ii. Result  will be published on web-site: www.esic.nic.in

H. General Conditions:

i. Mere submission of application does  not  confer  any  right  to the  candidate to be interviewed.

ii. Application   should   be   submitted   in  the   prescribed   format  only.   The   applications   found   to   be incomplete will be summarily rejected.

iii. Wrong  declarations/  submission of false  information or any  other action  contrary to law shall  lead  to cancellation of the  candidature at  any  stage.

iv. Opportunity of interview given  to candidates will be on provisional basis.

v.   The  interview  shall  be  conducted at  DEAN  OFFICE, Academic  Block, 2nd  Floor, ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE,  Joka,  Diamond  Harbour  Road,  Kolkata   700104  from  09:00  AM  onwards.

However, ESIC reserves the  right  to change the  centre, if needed.

   The  candidates  found   eligible  on  basis  of  application  and  document verification  shall  be  called  for interview through e-mail  only.

    The  ESIC   reserves the  right to  cancel the  recruitment process at  any stage  at  its

discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned.
