Engagement of Project Personnel for the Project “Assessment of Wildlife Values and Land Tenure for

Planning Rationalization of boundaries for Changthang and Karakoram Wildlife Sanctuaries, Ladakh

ON LINE INTERVIEW

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for engagement of the following Project Personnel in the Project “Assessment of Wildlife Values and Land Tenure for Planning Rationalization of boundaries for Changthang and Karakoram Wildlife Sanctuaries, Ladakh” purely on contractual basis for a period of 15 months.

The project aims toassess the wildlife values and the land tenure of Changthang and Karakoram Wildlife Sanctuaries through field investigations and stakeholder consultations in order to plan rationalization of boundaries for these protected areas.

Note:Only candidatesin excellent health condition, physical and mental fitness, andwilling to conduct arduous field work in remote, high altitude regions  (> 3500m above MSL)  of Ladakh under extreme weather conditions need to apply.

Mode of Selection and other conditions:

1.   The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.

2.  The candidates are required to submit their completed application forms in PDF format, with accompanying attachments, by email (with subject line: “Assessment of Wildlife Values and Land Tenure for Planning Rationalization of boundaries for Changthang and Karakoram Wildlife Sanctuaries, Ladakh” to registrarpr@wii.gov.in not later than 1700 hrs on 26th  April 2021. 

3.   Candidate should send typed application form in hard copy along with self-attested copies of certificates, work experience and publications in hard copy by speed post or courier with title on envelop “Application for [Post Name] - Assessment of Wildlife Values and Land Tenure for Planning Rationalization of boundaries for Changthang and Karakoram Wildlife Sanctuaries, Ladakh” and soft copy (pdf only) email to registrarpr@wii.gov.in by 26th April 2021.

4.   Application forms needs to be typed according to the prescribed format and must be accompanied by: (a) Scanned copies of educational qualifications, and (b) Scanned copies of experience letter/ certificate/ publications / proof of age, failing which applications will not be considered.

5.   The applications received after the deadline will be rejected by the Institute.

6.   The  shortlisted  candidates  will  be  notified  (through  email  and  website  notification)  for  online personal interview by 30th April 2021. The online interview will be held on 3rd& 4th May 2021 from

1000 hrs onwards.

7.   At the time of verification of original documents, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant  to  wilfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, his/her candidature will not be considered.

8.   The positions advertised are purely temporary/ contractual for the project period only and will stand abolished after completion of the project.

9.   The tenure in the project will be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations

10. Relaxation in Age will be given as per Govt. of India norms

11. After announcement of the results, the candidate should join the project immediately.

12. The Director, WII reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.
